Space, the final frontier.
These are the voyages of the Starship Enterprise.  It's continuing mission, to explore strange new worlds.  To seek out new life and new civilisation.
To boldly go where no one has gone before.

Star Trek was created by the late Gene Roddenberry and was first aired by NBC.  It lasted only two and a half seasons but created a strong and loyal fan following.  Under Paramount, Star Trek was revived with movies and the series "The Next Generation".
Now, Star Trek has spanned over 5 series and is coming up with a tenth movie.

constitution class starship The Original Series
The Original series follows the 5 year mission of the USS ENTERPRISE NCC1701 before it's cancellation.
One of the twelve Constitution class starships.  The ship was captained by James T Kirk.  Serving aboard were 430 highly trained crew.  Together, they were the stuff of legends who made the name Enterprise into the history books.

Galaxy class starship The Next Generation
The Next Generation features the fifth ship of the same name.  The powerful Galaxy class Starship - NCC1701D.  Capable of transporting a thousand humanoids, the Galaxy class Starship was designed with the idea for providing a homely environment for the crew.
Nevertheless, despite its mission, it is one of the most powerful ship in the quadrant, and is often dispatched to settle major conflicts.  Captain Jean Luc Picard is perhaps the greatest captain of all time.

Station, wormhole Deep Space Nine
Deep Space Nine - A distant station made long ago by the Bajorans.  It is situated next to the only stable worm hole ever known.  Under a constant threat from the Cardassians and the Dominion, it is unsure how the station could survive.

Interpid class starship Voyager
A voyage through the unknown, Voyager definitely lived up to its name.  Boasting bio-circuits and a more efficient power source, this Interpid class Starship could well rival the disaster plagued Galaxy class Starship.  Pulled into the Delta quadrant, her captain has to dodge the Borg as well as conflicts with her crew.

Experimental starship Enterprise
This newest series has won me over despite my reservations.  5 story threads in just 16 episodes is a good sign.  Unlike the previous 'generations', this crew is an interesting one, no one is a token character.  I'll hope to see how this series turns out.
